Fr. David Smith

Fr. David has been proistamenos at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church since Fall of 2010.

Education

Fr. David graduated from Fayetteville Manlius High School in 1977, Drew University in 1982, and Asbury Theological Seminary in 1988.  He has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary/Antiochian House of Studies, granted in 2000. 

Fr. David is also a licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NY and PA) since 2005.

Family

Fr. David is married to Presbytera Donna, a professional iconographer, and they have four children, Caleb (currently serving with the US Army in Afghanistan), Jesse (a student at Pratt Institute), Ana (employed in Syracuse), and Lucy (a student at Ithaca College).
